Who We Are

SuperCool Southport has been looking after Gold Coast vehicles since the early 1980s. The business was founded by Mark Mitchell, and is now owned and run by Mitch Turner, who actually started here as an apprentice back in 1993. He knows the workshop better than anyone.

Over 40 years, a lot has changed in the automotive industry. The vehicles are more complex, the technology has moved forward, and customer expectations are higher. What hasn’t changed is the team’s commitment to doing the job properly and being straight with people about what their vehicle needs.

We’re based at 51 High Street in Southport, right in the heart of the Gold Coast. We’re easy to get to, close to public transport, and a short walk from Australia Fair if you’d rather not sit and wait.

What We Do

We started as a car air conditioning specialist and we’re still the best on the Gold Coast at that. But over the years our customers kept asking us to do more, so we did.

Today we offer three core services.

Car Air Conditioning is still what we’re best known for. We regas, repair and service all makes and models, including newer systems with cabin air filtration. If your air con is blowing warm, making noise or just not performing the way it should, we’ll find out why.

Electronic Rust Protection is something we take seriously, particularly on the Gold Coast where salt air, humidity and coastal conditions accelerate corrosion. We install and service CouplerTec electronic rust protection systems, which use a low-level electric current to interrupt the oxidation process at the metal itself. It’s a fit-and-forget solution that protects your vehicle for as long as the unit is running.

Car Servicing is the newest addition to what we offer. We carry out manufacturer logbook servicing for all makes and models, including hybrid and electric vehicles. We also handle general mechanical repairs, brake and suspension work, and pre-purchase inspections. All work is quoted upfront and nothing gets done without your say-so first.

We’re also RACQ affiliated, ARCtick certified, and members of the MTA Queensland. For logbook servicing, we use quality parts and fluids that meet manufacturer specifications, so your new car warranty stays intact.
We offer same-day service on most repairs. And if you’re leaving your car with us, the Gold Coast tram stop is a short walk away.
